A letter to our Questers

Happy Holidays Questers! As we close out 2024, we want to reflect on the past year and our adventures. Looking back, we hope you had an exciting year full of fun and fellowship wherever your journeys took you.

This year, our story took us from our kingdom of Leitheim to the shores of Surturia as we fled King Arik's turn to evil and the release of five ancient generals and their armies. After our failed attempt to retrieve the scroll that controls the generals, we fled to Dorsport to make our escape. Before we set off, we were attacked by one of the generals, the Demigod Zabin Raptis, and his Golem Soldiers. Pushing his forces back long enough to escape on the ships of captains Skeeth Douglas and Roderiq Falsahar. We landed in the city of Octova, beseeched by pirates; we offered our aid to the guard captain, Kent Barrow. Together, we drove the pirates out of the area. After helping with other problems around town, we met with Governor Rahn Daw about getting an audience with the ruler of Surturia, Jarl Karas Rosebow. We made our way to the capital city of Brekka, where we were granted an audience with the Jarl. After pleading our case, the Jarl invited us to stay in the keep for the night, where we were attacked by assassins sent by King Arik to silence us and strike a blow against Surturia. The attempt on his life had pushed Karas to take action. He informed us he would send his men to investigate our claims and send word once he found out more. Until then, he asked us to travel back to Octova with Governor Daw as added protection until he could organize men to replace his guards killed in the events that had happened.

This year, we took time to remake our item cards, including cards for our artifacts. During downtime at events, we playtested our new combat system, making battles more interesting and fun for everyone. Finally, after closing the season, we released the latest version of our handbook, which had multiple edits in both lore and rules.

We are looking forward to a new year full of adventure and legendary fun; we'll be starting in the spring and can't wait to return to the park.

Sincerely,

Benjamin Smith
